The position is for an Accountant who will be focused on providing practical bookkeeping and accounting services for our UK based clients.

Responsibilities

Responsible for supporting our ‘Client Accountants’ by providing the following services;

· Performing all bookkeeping duties for our clients

· Preparation of VAT returns on a monthly basis

· Reconciling accounting ledgers and accounts on a regular basis

· Preparation of annual statutory annual accounts for our clients

· Preparation of corporation tax for our clients in the UK

· Preparation and calculation of self-assessments in the UK

· Provide ad-hoc support to ‘Client Accountants’

What are we looking for?

  • Qualified ACA/ACCA or AAT.
  • Minimum of 2 years of practice experience
  • Working knowledge of Xero, FreeAgent, Quickbooks (Essential)
  • Excellent English communication & presentational skills
  • Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Good knowledge of MS Office (Excel to intermediate level)
  • A candidate who can work full time 9.00 to 5.30 with one hour break (UK-time)

This position is suitable to those teachers who have work experience in these schools: Beaconhouse School System, Roots International Schools & Colleges, Schools Learning Alliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide efficient & accurate support to our customers through live chat, email, and phone in a polite and positive manner. Customer service managers must ensure that responses are accurate and provided in a timely manner, regardless of the channel.
  • Supervise customer service team. Supervisory duties training and motivating staff to perform effectively. Customer service managers should also create an environment where employees feel valuable to the organization.
  • Develop policies and procedures. Policies and procedures make up the playbook that customer service agents follow to resolve customer inquiries. Policies and procedures must balance satisfying customer needs and supporting the goals of the organization.
